Types of Treatments
Chinese Acupuncture: Targeted Pain Relief
Acupuncture is an effective, focused treatment for a wide range of conditions, including chronic pain, musculoskeletal issues, digestive and respiratory disorders, emotional imbalances, and hormonal concerns.
Tiny, thin needles are inserted along energy pathways (meridians) to stimulate the nervous system, promoting the body's natural healing and pain relief. Needles typically remain in place for about 30 minutes.

Types of Treatments
Tuina: Chinese Physiotherapy
Tuina, an ancient healing art originating in China and predating acupuncture, formed the foundation for the Japanese Shiatsu method. This therapeutic massage is highly effective in addressing a wide range of health concerns. It specifically targets orthopaedic issues such as sports injuries, frozen shoulder, chronic back pain, stiff neck, whiplash, muscle tension, postural problems, repetitive strain injuries, arthritis, and joint stiffness. Additionally, Tuina can alleviate internal system issues like digestive disorders (IBS, constipation, bloating), respiratory issues (asthma, chronic cough), fertility support, hormonal imbalances, and general muscle pain and swelling.
As an alternative medicine technique, Tuina involves a therapeutic massage approach performed directly over clothing without the need for oils. This method influences blood flow and energy circulation along the body's meridians through precise touch at strategic points. By stimulating these pathways, Tuina supports the body's natural healing processes and promotes overall well-being.
Complementary techniques are often integrated into a Tuina session to enhance its efficacy. These may include moxibustion or cupping, which are used to generate heat and encourage organ function, further assisting the body in healing itself. Kinesiotaping, utilising special elastic patches, can also be combined with Tuina to effectively treat muscle pain, improve range of movement, and reduce swelling.
